When she isn’t working, Becka likes to read voraciously (150 books last year), swim, play online games, spend time with family, dance, watch Once Upon a Time, and read books to her nephew.

Where she has lived:

Becka grew up in Urbana, Illinois and has also lived in: Berlin and Bad Oeynhausen, Germany; Oakland and Berkeley, California; Newton and Brookline, Massachusetts; Alexandria, Virginia; Oak Park, Illinois; Oberlin, Ohio; Pittsburgh, PA; and Princeton, NJ.

What She Did Before Librarianship:

Tech support in German and English; Financial Aid Compliance and Advising; Substitute Teaching and Tutoring, including for ESL, Gifted, and Special Education populations; Data analysis, including GIS; Tutored statistics, calculus, computer science, and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and HTML.
